Let me briefly introduce myself. I am a 5th -year Ph.D. candidate at BI Norwegian Business and about to go on the market. It is time for yet another Job Market Paper:
About 80 percent of this cost stems from increased flow from employment to unemployment – a margin often omitted in the empirical literature on optimal UI.
Also, there are important positive effects of higher benefits. I find evidence suggesting that workers become more selective in their job search when benefits are higher.
