Throw-back Thursday...
MHK celebrates 50 years in Hawaii - Est. 1973 as The House, we served patients deinstitutionalized from the Hawaii State Hospital. By 1994, we grew and changed our name to Mental Help Hawaii. In 2000 we expanded statewide to become Mental Health Kokua.
Special thanks to Honolulu City Councilmember Radiant Cordero for honoring MHK with a certificate celebrating MHK's 50th anniversary of behavioral health services in Hawaii. Photo L-R: Les Gusman (MHK Oahu Director), Councilmember Cordero, and Greg Payton (MHK CEO)
