@DanielJHannan This is a sign of how badly things have deteriorated in this country, that there is any debate around this. This is an awful person who has made grotesque comments, and should have the absolute right to do so (subject to traditional safeguards). should be no need for debate
@TheFreds I'm with Hulk on this one. Back in the day you would work in with someone doing multiple sets. I wish gyms like @DavidLloydUK would try to institute some gym courtesy - but they allow rampant locker theft so cant see them being bothered by this
@moving_charlie In parts of London (Fulham as example) earning 4 times would still not allow parity for house price growth, which is more like 8x in 30 years (all of it in the first 20). Underlying prices for other goods are approx 2 to 2.5 times up. so housing massively distorts all else.
@doctor_rahmeh You said "I don't condemn Hamas. I don't condemn October 7". You're aware of the extent of sexual violence (torture and rape of young woman) that took place on 7th October amongst all the mass slaughter?
@moving_charlie This is true and in real terms they are back to 2005 levels. But in 2005 they had tripled or quadrupled in the previous decade, and many were calling a massive bubble. So there is potentially much more pain to come.
@design2go_on There was an opportunity nearly 20 years ago, when the Key govt was elected, to enact structural reforms + catch up with Oz. It would be tough, but Key had the political capital to do it. However, he couldn't be bothered with all that, so he did bugger all instead.
@VigilantFox As a man, I would never seek to race against women. It's inherently unfair. Also, I'd probably still finish last which would be seriously embarrassing.
