One of the hardest things to do for me in starting at a new school is getting my room ready and making it feel like a warm inviting place for my students!

@teacherkoz But for some reason they don’t know it. I want to make sure they try. Physics is not a gender specific subject and teachers need to encourage all students to try. I want to dispel the myth that girls can’t do physics. That’s my goal!

Thinking of some physics goals for the upcoming year. Of course, this is what I do when I’m working out in the yard. One main goal I have is to increase the number of females in my AP Physics C class. I’ve done that in previous AP classes but not this one. Girls CAN do physics!

I guess I can tell everyone now in Twitter land that I will be moving schools next year. I will be teaching Physics and Physics C full time at McIntosh High School! I am thankful for the time I have been at Whitewater, but it is time for a change.
