Somewhat relieved we don't have Flag Football here at Metro (yet). The end of their regular season going through the first week of bball season is tough! Never sure how the boys do it with football every year.

Got some coaching related questions and I want to hear some of my peers' thoughts. Shoot me a DM!

[Mike Hernandez @MHbballcoach]

Coaching a team with only 5 players isn't easy but the results speak for themselves. Love this group!

[Metro Tech Girls Basketball @MetroGirlsBBall]

4 games in 16 hours

Only 5 girls available today

No excuses. Just results.

Pool 3 Champions.

[Mike Hernandez @MHbballcoach]

Definitely got more excited about this than probably anything else. Coaches understand!

[Metro Tech Girls Basketball @MetroGirlsBBall]

Highlight of the weekend!

[Mike Hernandez @MHbballcoach]

If you have followed our journey you know how big results like this are. Appreciate the great event as always @GC3Hoops and @fleeezeee for coming to our league this past Tuesday. These girls are here to put Metro on the map!

[Metro Tech Girls Basketball @MetroGirlsBBall]

3rd place showing in the Emerald Division!

Memories made and experience gained!

Metro Tech boys Varsity position is open.

While I won't pretend it will be an easy job to step into I do know that the boys will work hard, give total respect and rise to the standard the coach sets.

If you want more info, shoot me a message. These boys deserve the best.

[Mike Hernandez @MHbballcoach]

Staff vs Student game and Staff gets the W but all I hear from my players are the things I individually didn't do. smh.

[Mike Hernandez @MHbballcoach]

Looking at some of the AZ Prep scores in softball/baseball reminds me of the score disparity that exists here for basketball.

What do you think has caused this big increase in blowouts or has it always been this way and I'm just now noticing it?

[Mike Hernandez @MHbballcoach]

Still wild to me in this day and age how many HS basketball programs do *nothing* in the summer. It's the players who ultimately lose out.

[Mike Hernandez @MHbballcoach]

Even though they're my region rival I'll just say that Alhambra has talent and good athletes. A dedicated coach could go far there.

[Mike Hernandez @MHbballcoach]

AZ basketball coaches,

Now that it's been a few years how are we feeling about the Open/Copper?

Always great to see PXU doing well in the playoffs. Great job to Carl Hayden and Central

[Mike Hernandez @MHbballcoach]

With all the discussion regarding the Open/Copper, I'm curious if players see winning that tournament as more meaningful than a 1-6A title. Any coaches able to weigh in?

[Mike Hernandez @MHbballcoach]

@EVision_AZ What was the bench doing

[Mike Hernandez @MHbballcoach]

Commitments are coming in fast for our Summer Knights summer league. Always a nice thing to see so many programs ready to get back on the court (if not still playing!) and planning for next season!

[Mike Hernandez @MHbballcoach]

Another incredible talent and a hidden gym that a college will be lucky to have. Great student - 3 sport athlete and only a Sophomore!

[Metro Tech Girls Basketball @MetroGirlsBBall]

Mariah Price (2027) showing how she'll fight for every 50/50 ball and it'd a big reason why she's a tob rebounder in the state with 10+ a game!

[Mike Hernandez @MHbballcoach]

Whichever college gets her is going to get an absolute warrior. Only a Sophomore: she's going to be a real force the next two years. 10+ Rebounds a game already

[Metro Tech Girls Basketball @MetroGirlsBBall]

#20 Dianely Granados (2027) showing why she is such a fierce rebounder: she wants every loose ball!

[Metro Tech Girls Basketball @MetroGirlsBBall]

Thank you for all the support and the spotlight you helped provide our program this year! @GC3Hoops @fleeezeee
