The most disturbing part of the DA’s demands for the scrapping of the NHI Act, BELA Act and Expropriation Act, in exchange for their support of the budget is that is grossly unconstitutional and undemocratic.

Acts are a product of extensive democratic processes, including public hearings in municipalities and provinces, submissions from stakeholders and interested parties, voting in the National Assembly and National Council of Provinces.

The demands by the Democratic Alliance that this just be reversed are fundamentally undemocratic! Scary.
