So my long overdue revamp of my website is complete. Please take a look and let me know what you think. https://t.co/nuLMkYHZlh
This image was made yesterday at Pistyll Rhaeadr.
'Sister' image to my previous white horse photograph from the Isle of Harris. 'Together' has been added to my evolving website. Hopefully I will be able to publish it soon. I would love feedback when I do, especially how easy it is to navigate etc...π
This time I think I managed to get my Storm timing right! I was lucky to be able to capture this immense storm cloud whilst light filtered through the clouds in the distance. A few minutes later I was in the middle of biblical rain. βοΈβοΈπΆ
Another image I was too late to capture at its best! Came back from a coffee to find an intense Rainbow following an incredible rainstorm. The bright rainbow is from my iphone and the other from camera once I was place and set up when the light and conditions had changed.
I am creating a new website. I am looking through my 'back catalogue' of images to decide on the website photographs. I found this image of a wild horse in the New Forest area. A friendly soul and comfortable in my company. I have processed it in colour and B&W, which one to use?
Yesterday we had an immense thunderstorm over the field in front of the house. I was undecided as to whether to go out or not...In the end I missed the best dark drama of the storm but I am still pleased to have captured some decent images.
Once we had settled into our beautiful surroundings on Harris we found the local horses in the dunes. After cautiously approaching them they seemed friendly enough, in fact later on during the stay they seemed to follow me around! Once again the rain had darkened the sand dunes.
One of my first images from Harris. Around 9pm on Saturday 27th April 17. Desperate to photograph the whites sands and turquoise waters - this was not it! Leaden skies after rainfall and late evening meant darker sand colours and grey waters. I hunted for patterns and white sands
One of many stunning beaches on the Isle of Harris. Used a shallow depth of field to provide a soft foreground running into the detail beyond. The detail from this Medium format sensor...at full size you can see numerous birds flying throughout the scene!
April snow...took the opportunity to go out into the field opposite us last night to photograph the post snow storm scene. Fantastic the way the snow had formed across the grass.
Elgol 3 - towards the last light of the day. I have left some of the blue light cast in the image. I loved the rock structure here. The boats are a blur due to the exposure time on this one.
Elgol 2. This was a longer exposure due to the low light conditions. Beautiful location but the only place on our trip where I was mercilessly attacked by midges!
My last image was taken on our way home from the Isle of Harris. This one was taken on the way to Harris. I HAD to stop and photograph Eilean Donan Castle. Eilean Donan is recognised as one of the most iconic images of Scotland.
On the way back from a fantastic stay on the Isle of Harris in 2017, we were driving through Glengarry when a rain storm started to develop behind us. I stopped at the winding roadside to create this Medium format Panorama. As I was packing up the rain caught up with me!
