In the first quarter of 2024, the value of construction work done skyrocketed by a massive 14.2% compared to the same period last year.
Residential construction also had a strong showing, expanding by 11.5% year-on-year – the steepest growth in six quarters.
Meanwhile, non-residential construction bounced back with a 3.8% increase after two straight quarters of contraction
The analyst view the faster consumer price inflation as a sign that domestic demand in China is stabilizing after a period of weakness.

Roaring Prices Signal China's Economic Rebound
