Do you know great math students who are up for a unique academic adventure? Our new Doctoral network will soon start to recruite PhD students for projects related to tensors and the exciting possibilities to obtain a binational PhD within a cotutelle procedure.
One of our MINOA PIs, @sdp_angie, is now part of the MOS Board!
The MOS is dedicated to the promotion of high professional standards in the subject of mathematical optimization and therefore one of the most important societies in our community.
Energizing visit to #Gottingen at the #dhcsummerschool22, to share a few pills of experience and outline the challenges and opportunities to develop modern and efficient #smart#energy and #DHC systems. My thanks to @DHCPlus, @StefanHoller and the young talents I met these days
1️⃣ month left to apply to the 17 new OPEN calls!
With an additional budget of +€507.1 million they are drivers to deliver on #EUMissions🔬🇪🇺

The winners of the MINOA research challenge presented their results at the Long Night of Sciences at @UniFAU. Interested audience, good questions, lots of feedback!
Glad to be part of #WISDOM ! I presented a joint work with three great women, @ILjubic @ClaudiaArchett1 and Elena Fernandez. Many thanks @MarinaLealP for helping me with the technical issue 🙏🏼 Women.. or rather YoungWomen4OR power. 😁💪🏼
The MINOA student @ShudianZhao successfully defended her dissertation "Splitting into Pieces: Alternating Direction Methods of Multipliers and Graph Partitioning" including a lot of #SDP. Congratulations 🥳
...without your coordination MINOA would not have been that successful!
And thank you, Dennis Adelhütte, for being a very efficient and patient project manager!👏 Forgive those who needed a few reminders before the deliverables were done, they will miss you most 😉 2/2
The final reports of our MINOA ETN are now submitted and accepted. So it's time to say...:
Thank you, Frauke Liers, for being an excellent coordinator!👏 You managed to run everything smoothly, you quietly sorted out the unpleasant issues, 1/2
We are happy to announce the MINOA School 2021 about "Nonlinear Optimal Control Problems and Conic Optimization", which will be held online via zoom from June 21 till June 29! You can find the program and the registration link at https://t.co/az3O5taBqR.
Our ESR @CerulliMartina provided benchmark-instances about the 'Aircraft deconfliction problem via subliminal speed regulation in 3 dimensions' and modified the Wikipedia entry about Bilevel optimisation. Fore more information, please see our homepage https://t.co/BatWAxO8iE!
(1) Our conference "Trends in Mathematical Modelling, Simulation and Optimisation: Theory and Applications", organised in collaboration with the SFB TRR154, was a huge success with around 200 participants and talks from many research fields in optimisation
(3) Marianna de Santis, Antonio Frangioni, Tamás Terlaky and Didier Henrion. Additionally, tutorials about Coluna.jl and SCIP were held by Guillaumes Marques and members of the SCIP team. Talks and slides of the ESR Days are available on our homepage: https://t.co/Ej27P9Bfde
