i do not care if Trump's comments result in nothing tonight. no one who even thinks of saying the phrase "a whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again" should be allowed to operate an ice cream stand, nevermind the most powerful office on the planet
Today is Trans Day of Visibility.
Trans, non-binary, and gender-nonconforming people have always been here — from the hijra of India to the Diné nádleehi to the leaders who built the modern LGBTQIA+ movement here in New York.
Your existence is not up for debate. Your lives are not a political issue.
We’re fighting for a city where every trans New Yorker can live openly, safely, and with joy.
approaching your 30s and not knowing anything about politics when you're living in the country currently being affected by current events involving ICE is embarrassing. and if you pretend to not have a political stance so you don't lose your racist viewer base, that's even more embarrassing.
people don't ask for your political opinion because they think you can teach them, they're asking so they can decide if they want to support you or not based on your morals.
i'm not saying everyone is required to speak up but if you are truly apolitical then just shut the fuck up and don't bring it up in the first place instead of making fun of people for caring.
twigs has gone through so much and is finally getting some semblance of recognition, and she is instantly met with disrespect. saying “whatever it is” is crazy
on black history month we remember marsha p johnson and other trans women like her. the average life expectancy for black trans women is 30 y/o because of murder and suicide. always remember to keep your black trans sisters in your hearts and fight for them to have better days.
