So I really love the tiny details of the architecture here in Jaadugar, as it’s my first anime I’ve kept my eyes glued to!
Look at the window and the sunny colour scheme chosen here to represent architectural constructions in the past.
There is shared architectural language that stretches from the medieval Islamic, in that case 13th century Khorasan, and now into the present day.
We still have some of the modern buildings, especially religious or cultural spaces built like that, with good attention to detail.
The warm browns, ochres, and sandy beiges seen in both images reflect the colours of clay, adobe, limestone, and desert earth. Across Persia, Arabian lands , and the Mongol-influenced Silk Road, builders used materials that came directly from the land.
I wonder if the illustrators used this colour scheme to represent nostalgic memories as well as timelessness of this heritage?
