The National Measles-Rubella Vaccination Campaign kicks off today, and we are pleased to be among the partners supporting this important public health initiative across health facilities in the Busoga Region.
Through our partnership and collaboration with the Ministry of Health and local health authorities, we are supporting efforts to ensure that eligible children are reached with life-saving vaccines and that communities are protected against measles and rubella.

In Namayingo District we are conducting final reflection and refresher sessions for health workers and Village Health Teams (VHTs) ahead of the Measles-Rubella Immunization Campaign.
The session is focusing on reviewing the campaign microplans, team composition and roles, as well as developing a clear implementation roadmap for the campaign scheduled for 1–5 October 2026.

The Iganga Subregion Milestone Dissemination Meeting is taking place today at the Continental Hotel, Iganga.
The meeting brings together stakeholders to disseminate key milestones, reflect on progress, share achievements and lessons learned, and identify priority actions to strengthen service delivery across the subregion.

Today, we engaged with the team at Masaafu General Hospital in Busia District, focusing on reviving the Community Pharmacy Model at the facility.
The engagement explored ways to strengthen the model, improve access to medicines and services within the community, and enhance collaboration between the facility and community structures.
Revitalising community-based approaches remains key to bringing essential health services closer to the people and improving continuity of care.

Our teams are gathered today at Happy Wallet Hotel-Bugiri District, for the Bugiri Sub-Regional Milestone Dissemination and Readiness Engagement.
More than 100 staff members from Busia, Namutumba, Bugiri, and Namayingo districts in Bugiri subregion have come together on day three of the Milestone readiness meeting to review the upcoming milestones, assess current performance, identify gaps and bottlenecks, and align on priorities and responsibilities for the next implementation period.

Today, our teams are in Masindi for the orientation of the newly constituted Older Persons Councils in the Bunyoro Subregion, taking place at County Inn, Masindi Town.
The engagement has been graced by the State Minister for the Elderly, Hon. @JacqueMbabazi
The induction brings together Chairpersons of Older Persons Councils, Parish Chiefs, Town Agents, Subcounty Community Development Officers, and Division Community Development Officers.
The orientation aims to strengthen the capacity of the newly constituted councils, clarify their roles and responsibilities, and enhance coordination in advancing the rights, participation, and well-being of older persons at community level.
