@talkSPORT Listened to this on the radio and thought wow, Fernandes must be really acting up here. Just watched it back. It’s a blatant nailed on elbow. Clear red card. Why make out he was the problem? He got an elbow to the face and yet again the officials make a terrible call!
@StretfordPost The inconsistency of the officials and VAR are ruining football. Who wants to watch a sport where one week its considered zero tolerance and violent conduct and the the next it’s not? This is never a red card btw and just proves how stupid the Martinez one was
@UtdXclusive@RobDorsettSky Any manager, elite or not, gets eaten alive by the Manchester United media machine, that never acknowledges that at least half of our squad get nowhere near any of the top 4 clubs, yet somehow the expectation is top 4. Need to build a proper squad that can actually compete.
@__scottsaunders Genuine question? Regardless of manager. Do you see the current set of players finishing above any of the 5 teams above us? I think we’ll finish about 8th at best. I hope I’m wrong.
@SkySportsPL@GNev2 The squad needs a proper reset. Not just 3 or 4 signings in one summer. Multiple windows of gutting the squad. Watch there’ll be another social media sorry from Shaw , Dalot etc when the next guy gets the inevitable bullet.
@SkySportsPL@GNev2 but you and the rest of the pundits will hound out the next guy as soon as there are bumps in the road. I genuinely believe Ole, Ten Hag and Amorim all could have been successful if they’d of been given the chance to complete a rebuild. Luke Shaw is on his 9th manager?
@henrywinter Imagine signing as manager and very clearly stating that he plays this system. Then the board just decide to not invest to give him the players he needs. They knew who they were getting and how he plays. Every right to effectively say, if you’re with me then back me
@Carra23 Talksport level of rage bait. 6th in the league with just a handful of his own signings. Still got years of poor recruitment in the squad. Utter nonsense.
@MufcWonItAll2@swingereddie Same but it doesn’t mean that that is a realistic possibility. Whether we like it or not the barometer for success has changed since the good days and this year it’s qualifying for Europe. We’re still in that race so I still back him. Progress isn’t linear, there will be bumps.
@MufcWonItAll2 Do I think he makes all the right decisions? No.
Do I think Everton and Wolves were tactical low points? Yes.
Do I think we should give a manager multiple windows until he has his own complete squad? Yes.
Time needed imo.
@MufcWonItAll2 When they finished 15th last season and we could all see the squad was a mess, what was the realistic aim for this season? Europe is progress and that’s still attainable. Pulling the plug every time it gets tough will mean we’re always caught in a rebuild.
@henrywinter You mention about Shaw and Maguire struggling in the system. They both started in Ole’s last game away at Watford. It’s not the system with those two. They make huge errors that lead to opposition goals and should have left the club a long time ago. Dalot falls in this group too.
