I really want yall to start supporting the people who show up for you more and stop supporting people who really don’t care what goes on for you unless they benefit selfishly.
We feel this pressure to fix things. We take matters into our own hands. We strive and strain, and often end up frustrated. We have good intentions, but the best thing you can do is leave it alone. That battle is not yours; the battle is the Lord's.
When things get tough, no one shows. People don’t invite them to social gatherings. No one to call. No one asks them to participate in any way because they’ve proved themselves unreliable.
So think about who you wanna be and how you want present outwardly to society as whole because it does matter.
Social capital is everything sometimes. No man is an island all the rest.
Be good to others and in turn the universe will be a little kinder to you.
As we journey through life these people have very small to non existent support mechanisms and do poorly in social settings when life begins to evolve the conventional way.
Don’t wait too long trying to verify if you’re on the receiving end of poor form. You most likely are.
Benefit of the doubt is reserved for those who’ve actually earned it.
A person’s track record with you matters and should be the determining factor.
All the values and morals may be in place but if you don’t put em to use then what’s the point?
It’s imperative that we respect ourselves first when interacting with such folks. Where your needs aren’t met or respected, distance yourself.
I really enjoy people with good manners that are all round decent humans.
People that respect you, show up on time, get back to you, helpful when they can be, good to the elderly.
I don’t like this new age we’re living in where nothing is respected or taken seriously.
