I love basketball. I love the NBA, and I consider it a privilege to be reader supported in covering it. But, some of this other stuff is starting to taint that. I hope more of us with platforms will be willing to say that.
I used to be a camera operator for Auburn Athletics and worked many college football games for ESPN and SEC network. The Big Ten is lying to you and fabricated evidence for Michigan to have an extra play at the end of the game against Western Michigan. The stadium clock is the standard. Not whatever the replay booth decides it is.
We cannot have sustainable energy because it threatens the oil industry. We cannot have healthcare because it threatens insurance. We cannot have peace because it threatens the weapons industry. Capitalism built a system where doing the right thing is treated like bad business.
hot take as an artist :
Art community is as worse as its ever been, 1st of all , ai is killing our ass, we don’t get as much demand as before, second we gotta deal with artists who don’t understand artists etiquette as well, I know this is a competitive environment, but still…
Sports are fun, but they’re also a beautiful tool to teach young people valuable life lessons. Like “Work hard”, “Support your teammates”, and “Sometimes life is rigged in favor of those with more resources.”
If there is literally ANY GAME that would fit the criteria for having the final score being overturned, it would be Michigan-Western Michigan. There is irrefutable proof the clock was at 0:00 before it was changed back to 0:01 for no discernable reason.
Western Michigan won that game and the W-L column needs to reflect that.
There’s a lot of NBA fans who may struggle to afford basic needs, let alone tickets. From the aspiration stuff to an agent saying “athletes have the toughest job in the world,” and now the game’s biggest star stanning for polymarket — it’s been a tone deaf offseason.
I still think about the guy who pointed out that "the underlying purpose of Al is to allow wealth to access skill while removing from the skilled the ability to access wealth." Rarely have I seen Al described so succinctly.
by banning AI use for both students & teachers sends a bold message that AI is not conducive to learning & is in fact a disservice to the mission of education.
"its just concept art"
1. this is how it starts
2. i dont like the idea of basing your entire visual style off of ai slop lmao, its like making ai slop but then you remake with normal tools and say "see? this isnt ai slop"
