@FreePeteyEP40 If they want a young d-man in the mix then my best offer would be something like.
-D-Petey
-2nd round pick of choice
-Mid round pick or B prospect
@schafer_von@CanucksMuse@statmuse@statmusehockey They definitely got a shot. Last year they barely had enough players day to day because of the main clubs injuries. Add Patterson for the full year, potentially even Cootes and they will do just fine.
@Sapsterr_@GradySas Wonder what a project player like him would want on an 8 year deal. If you trade for him the organization is already getting that he can at least be a second line forward either at center or on the wing, not a huge stretch to put faith in the talent and hope it works out.
@jabo_vancouver@CanucksArmy I can accept a little arrogance in a player, I also think it’s not crazy to say that he should be a little frustrated with his usage over the last couple of years.
If he actually wants to be a Canuck then he’s a pretty decent target.
@noahstrang_ Any of: 2nds or lower picks, Debrusk, Pettersson, Ohgren/Lekki, Mynio, Kudryavtsev. Might be something there.
If we are actually his preferred destination then I’d be really happy to pick him up.
@Duke991_@finessingh8996 Might be true but at the moment Rossi is worth more. I still think Rossi has more to give though, hopefully we see some growth now that his foot is fully healed.
@Sapsterr_ Be cool to just load PP2 with all the vets we can/won’t move.
I think Rossi played the bumper at least occasionally in Minnesota. Lekki probably shifty enough to occasionally play it but I doubt he’s strong enough to really carve out the space he’ll need there.
@Sapsterr_ He’s had a nice long offseason and last we saw him he was out of a cast/sling so hopefully he’s gotten bigger.
I believe in the guy, he’s still only 21. His injury days need to be behind him though.
@Sapsterr_ Curious to see how he’s used by Malhotra, particularly on the power play. Last time he was on PP1 he was on the left wall I think. Rossi was really effective there in the latter half of last year. PP2 an option ofc but that’s less fun.
Buium needs to be on PP1 too.
@S7Dsn It really does suck for the moment. RJ has done a good job working around this handicap so far but it really does hard limit the amount he can really do.
@Sean_B_taketwo@Hockey2L He absolutely won’t be. That being said I don’t move Petey unless I get a first back, even if that’s the only asset.
Still the Pens 27 1st could be really solid. 10-20 is a decent bet.
@Canucks_Enjoyer I like the “Cootes” route of development. Let em try to make the team in camp and if they show well play em a couple games. Gives them a clear demonstration of what they need to work on.
Then send em back down to light up the CHL and hone their offensive skills.
