Is it right to pray for death? Or is it better to ask for a long life?
Imam al-Sajjad (a) teaches us a profound way to view life and death in his famous Dua Makārim al-Akhlāq.
“And let me live as long as my life is not spent in humiliation in Your obedience. But if my life becomes a pasture for Satan, then take me back to You before Your wrath overtakes me or Your anger grows against me."
Don’t you dare mock my androon born and raised lahoڑi buttni with umber dyed hair and her lahori playfulness (thousands of poets have lost their hearts at this alter for centuries) who works for the only BBC which isn’t pro-genocide. Bhai bhai channel fr >>>>
Honestly. I think about this everyday. Have taken a holiday just to spend time with them. I wish I didn’t have to make choices that took me away from them.
First of all, I thank Allah Almighty for this huge success, with the prayers of my parents, prayers of the entire nation and especially the tireless effort of my coach Mr. Salman Iqbal Butt and the support of Dr. Ali Sher Bajwa, I have achieved this massive milestone.
Thank you All!
Lastly, This Gold medal is a gift from me to the entire nation on the occasion of Independence Day.
Doctors working in Pakistan want to move to Ireland
IMG doctors working in Ireland are looking to move to the UK.
Doctors in the UK are moving to the Middle East, Canada & Australia.
Doctors in Australia, the Middle East & Canada wish they had done USMLE & US fellowships to get better oppurtinures.
Doctors working in the US have the highest rate of suicide among any profession which indicates the level of burnout & stress they face.
The point of this post is.
As Medical professionals, we are a global workforce & our skills are required & valued worldwide.
Getting financial independence & better skills should be the main goal of junior doctors.
Joining this race, remember there will always be a better place or dream or next level psychologically pushing you to do more which is fine.
You will always feel there are other doctors in a better position than you.
Sometimes, it is better to find a happy place & stay there for a while.
Doesn't mean you stop growing but just that you are also looking after your mental health, taking care of your family, reflecting & enjoying life.
Best wishes.

Our attitude in medicine absolutely needs to stop being, “I went through this terrible thing so the next generation should too” and instead be, “I went through this terrible thing and want no one to ever have to experience it again.”
