I’ve been telling computers what to do for years. They recently learned to talk back. Software developer, AI/LLM tinkerer, and frequent victim of rabbit holes.
Sometimes the internet feels like the worst timeline. Politics and culture wars have consumed people to the point of celebrating death or wishing it on others.
Don’t lose your humanity. Be kind. Be open. Agree to disagree. Different views aren’t the end of the world.
@Samaytwt Never trust anything from china. The moment the adoption becomes too big you can expect their models to go rogue. Heck, it's like hiring a sleeper agent to be your assistant.
@killertruth186@Pirat_Nation I do think 128GB is enough if only they improved HEVC/AV1 support (for stored media) and webp support (for photos) but... for apps? man... developers are like "yea sure let's put 1GB package for a note-taking app"
@Pirat_Nation Bro was given a literal blank check to do a proper remake. Came up with whispers and all nonsense they could add. FFVIIR has been ubisoft-ed so hard it is hard to call it a remake if you are just spinning a retelling. They should never ever cook again.
I think Google has finally woken up. Gemini is so freaking good that I don't even know where to start. Whether it is creative writing, mocking up pages, or following instructions, a new future is upon us. We should be happy that competition exists, because Gemini 4 has arrived.
@thsottiaux I feel about this the same way when Github started having its "hol up" moment revising their plans. Skimming through X's usual gaslighting going to be more painful than navigating the new API usage just to get a proper user sentiment.
Okay, imma be honest. Gemini Flash 3.8 is actually pretty good. The days of not following instructions are over and it is genuinely generating good results. #openai#gemini#ai#llm#anthropic
"Kojima-maxxing trip" that's the most cringe thing someone can say while asking to handle things better and/or seriously. If the studio couldn't make anything profitable why even keep them? Heck, I'm not even throwing shade at developers or artists. The real failure is the studio's leadership they all failed to make a proper product and they all failed to meet any expectations.
The game industry is brutal. I'm not sure why these people think they aren't competing when creating products for literal millions of people.
Bait used to be believable. lmao. anyone in software engineering and has maintained legacy codebase knows how bad it can get. heck, even "modern" codebases are garbage. AI on the right hands can either cleanup the codebase or make it worse.
A reminder to never support these outlets. They all have the same shit that have baited people for a decade. Clickbait articles are a shit way to do engagement and 99.9% of the time is disingenuous. Ask Grok or any other AI to just fetch the article and resume it. Never incentive them.
