@CTVAtlantic If you are asking people to conserve energy now. What happens when all these apartments being built, or planned for come on line? People forced to use EV s? Rolling blackouts.
@briantylercohen@acoyne Lets ensure correct info out…it’s per year for 5 years with an increase every year in quota, plus reviewed after 3 years and numbers can be increase sizeably in years 4 and 5. The number 49000 is starting number. Ask who will do repairs etc on these, a new steam of immigrants?
@MichelleRempel@SheilaGunnReid Didn’t Quebec say they couldn’t take any more immigrants. Maybe get some of them to work. You can’t have your cake and eat it too . Or is it they want gov assistance in payroll. My vote left and right hands get together your messages are in conflict
@BarbaraBalCPC@SheilaGunnReid@SeanFraserMP If someone requires 24 h monitoring with ankle monitoring, that monitoring should be in jail. Released just skews the crime stats which if truly known, the public would call out the justice minister. Follow the money who owns and monitors these..it’s not who you think.
@brianlilley Does anyone else see this as a hostile takeover ? After all he seems to be running the government as his own personal company and not an elected person. His first duty was to hire “consultant” for major projects. Premiers are treated like board of directors .
@Susie3669@PierrePoilievre Deportation is not as easy as you think. The returning country needs to provide documentation agreeing to take them back. Many countries are happy to get rid of them and thus delay or refuse such paperwork. We cannot simply put them on a flight and hope for the best
@brianlilley So let me get this straight. Was taking effect Jan 1. Paused pending a 60 day review. So mid Nov. at which time it will be renamed and still take effect Jan 1. Like saying wait til your father gets home. Still getting punished just delayed a few hours …
@sunlorrie When this law was written, these kinds of things were not a daily occurrence. Just like many of our laws, they must be reviewed and rewritten to adapt to today. Sadly Min Fraser believes in pointing finger rather than admitting times have changed. Ex. DUI laws were updated
@MarkJCarney@joe_warmington I guess any movement even at snails pace is faster than anything in the past decade. Of course this office now gives you another outlet to blame for delays rather than do the job you were elected to do. Nice way to keep your hands clean.
@rupasubramanya Interesting that we wait the outcome of the courts to determine the validity of the tariffs on steel etc covered by Cusma, hoping to have them rule in Canada favour but we placed tariffs on items as well covered under existing agreements. Pot meet kettle.
