@MazingAmy @DrJenGunter 5o yo. I had the same symptoms, and it was adenomyosis. I ended up having a hysterectomy bc I had severe anemia due to blood loss. Best decision I've made in a long time and best I've felt in decades. Still have ovaries so no menopause yet.
