But he’s not even wrong? Why wouldn’t we want RE1 with full RE Engine fidelity? If it’s done as well as RE2 and RE4 Remake it could be amazing. I genuinely don’t get why so many people are against this

I’m all for fans of the OG games but some of y’all act like they’re sacred and can’t possibly be improved. And even if you don’t like the idea of a new remake you will still have the 2002 Remake: it won’t be expunged off reality. So what do you really have to lose???

Gameplay was an improvement over 7, and there is a decent wealth of content. However, post game is not only dogshit, but you also have to pay for it. I thankfully bought this on sale, so I didn't have to pay full price for it. The boss themes did go hard though. 7-7.5/10.

As someone who has now played most games in this series, this one belongs somewhere in the middle. Story ranges from having interesting ideas and some very poignant moments to some dumb logic and questionable pacing, with one subplot in particular being genuinely awful. 1/2.
