it’d be incredibly funny if ai started reverse engineering the world’s most closely guarded recipes, like coca cola & kfc’s secret blend.
someone please connect a physical tongue to an ai so it can actually taste food & drinks. then we can finally put an end to the insufferable “ai has no taste” discourse.
although i’m sure we’ll immediately be told that ai can taste but it doesn’t have taste.
Some stats on #php2shell. In the 10 hours before it was publicly announced, across the @Cloudflare network we saw thousands of attempts to exploit it. That jumped to tens of thousands in the 45 minutes post announcement, hundreds of thousands within 2 hours, and millions now.
UPDATE: Specific mitigation guidance for the recently identified PHP critical vulnerabilities is now available. Secure your servers today. Guidance and technical steps here: https://t.co/nuXgQ10Fzc
We discovered and communicated with a Chinese AI agent fleet. We believe this is the first time that researchers have ever made contact with a rogue agent fleet in the wild.
Nearly all prior public agent incidents (like the HuggingFace hack) came from American labs. These agents were hosted by Tencent's evaluation research team, and they targeted Alibaba's Amap.
Usage exponentially increases but AI companies must continually lower token prices to match competitors. Welcome to Jevon's Paradox - where consumers benefit but priced to perfection AI companies unravel to investors.

Capitalism works if and only if all members see themselves as "pre-rich" or "feasibly-rich-if-they-wanted-it-badly-enough". Remove that and the system collapses.
Palmer Luckey reveals the startup he'd build today: oxytocin doping to end divorce
"I would try to end the tragedy of divorce with oxytocin doping for marriage counseling."
"We understand mammal pair bonding pretty well. There's a lot of people who want to stay together. Most of the people who don't want to stay together should stay together, especially for their kids."
"And we can, if people think SSRIs are fine, which they're not, but if they were, then oxytocin doping to stay together is definitely fine."
"It's the mammal pair bonding chemical. There's things you can do to increase the uptake, and it's very well understood. Also, totally unregulated, which is great. Unregulated spaces are a lot easier to do. You can go buy a kilogram of oxytocin on Sigma Aldrich Chemical Supply right now, and if you do that, maybe you won't die alone."
"It's pure biology. It's used for women who don't bond with their kids, and now for women who don't bond with their husbands. It's also used for kids with various neurological issues, some kids with autism who struggle with pair bonding."
"The cool thing is it's a self-reinforcing loop. We understand that very well. Unlike most drugs, it doesn't form a chemical dependency. It actually unburdens you from a chemical dependency."
EA Games defaults on its obligations to debt holders after largest leveraged buyout ever last year. A deal coordinated by the Saudi government, $JPM and Jared Kushner.
The default occurred after bond holders were left with substantial losses on credit downgrade to junk that triggered a buyout clause.
Two issues, the 1.85% notes due 2031 and the 2.95% notes due 2051, about $750 million each, say that if the company is sold and the bonds fall below investment grade, EA has to buy them back at 101 cents on the dollar. That is $1.01 for every $1 of face value. Bondholders holding about $1.4 billion have now sent a notice saying that right was triggered and EA is in default for not honoring it.
EA’s side has tried not to pay that price. In February the buyers offered to repurchase the 2031 notes near 92 cents and the 2051 notes near 74 cents.

Mythos has sparked fear as artificial intelligence advances faster than it can be safely deployed. In a world where cybersecurity is becoming more important, Mythos and what it represents may present the Defense Department with a reason to reconsider https://t.co/PRPiRMHyYz
An exec quipped to me that our Product Marketing team was excellent in "Marketing Math". This reminds me that there are TAM's bound by gravity and others are truly out of this world.
Hats off to whichever marketeers out there at Anthropic and SpaceX came up with these!
Arnold Schwarzenegger reveals he built a smoking tent outside his Capitol office to bypass laws and negotiate deals with lawmakers
"The law says that you have to be 20 feet away from the building."
"I have an atrium where my office is, and we have measured 20 feet away from the building from each side of this atrium. And we're building a tent. We built a tent that is big enough so we can have inside meetings and everything like that, and we're going to smoke our cigars in there."
"They sent me a bill to forbid smoking in a smoking tent. And so, of course, I didn't sign it. I vetoed it."
"Democrats and other legislators came down and asked me, begged me, 'Can I come down and smoke?' And that's how I got most of my deals done."
"They came down to smoke, and we found something in common, which is smoking. We smoked our stogies, took our jackets off, took our ties off, and we were sitting there and saying, 'What are you working on?'"
"And so we started working together, and I was able to sign more of their legislation because they were not stubborn about how they wrote the legislation. We got a lot of things done because of the smoking tent."
‼️ BREAKING: A 16-year-old hacker broke into an internal Microsoft analytics service with a forged, unsigned login token and ran SQL as admin, reaching databases that held over 17 trillion rows, including Bing search analytics and 17,990 employee email records.
The service, called Titan, checked every field on the token except its signature, so just claiming to be "admin" got him in, writes the researcher, who goes by Faav.
He says he only pulled metadata and two single rows of Bing data, never touched customer data, and reported the flaw to Microsoft the same night.
Microsoft locked the endpoint four days later, paid him $5,000, and had editorial control over his write-up, cutting sections and figures and reshaping how the impact was described before it went public.
