There’s no timeline on how quickly this can be carried out. The Oilers are aware of this. Players involved, etc in 2023 will have to be interviewed. If Babcock were to back out at this stage, a league source says there would be no reason to investigate.
If #Oilers elect to continue down the path with Mike Babcock, sources say the #NHLPA is in receipt of “significant” additional claims from their own investigation with players that were not publicly reported in 2023.
Those claims were presented to #NHL prior to his resignation.
It would probably be best for the league to not have this guy back behind the bench. Had Vegas allowed Cassidy to interview, this isn’t even a topic. So fuck Vegas.
A lot of Babcock discourse will be around recent Marner/cellphone gate stories, but here’s a reminder of the Johan Franzen story that @JasonGregor mentions from @HeleneStJames herself in 2019.
Chelios played 1,651 games in the NHL, so understand the weight of his words here.
@Loubrass2@MannyBigHill@LoMoo28@Joe_McCoy12 If you’re in your draft year, you’re a prospect. We’re not talking about a 15u player here. And it would seem as your undergarments are the one in a bunch with these replies.
Comes down to money for Tuch. He wants what he wants dollar wise, plain and simple. He has that right, we have the right to disagree with him but it’s his livelihood and the last chance at a big payday I’d assume.
Darren Dreger: It sure sounds like there isn't progress being made between Buffalo and Alex Tuch, and I'm hearing that Tuch is likely going to free agency - First Up (6/5)
Pierre LeBrun: Re NHL playoff format: I hear from owners and managers and coaches and players, that they would rather go back to 1-8; people in every corner of the league are tired of this format - Melnick in the Afternoon (6/4)
