#rEDTECHguy A12: I would like to learn more about Nearpod. I had a brief introduction to its capabilities. I would also like to learn more about ChatGPT.
#rEDTECHguy A11: I attended Nearpod training workshop. I learned that Nearpod offers many interactive ways to teach content and gauge student understanding.
#rEDTECHguy A10: Student scores on Edpuzzles are a great way to gauge understanding of content. Individual students can redo Edpuzzles or entire lessons can be reviewed as needed.
#rEDTECHguy A7: I have received mixed feedback from students. Some enjoy using the chromebooks for interactive review, some dislike typing on the chromebook, and some students are indifferent.
#rEDTECHguy A6: One challenge or obstacle that comes with using technology is finding out that a website or app that you planned to use that day is not working. Of course, always have a backup plan ready to go!
#rEDTECHguy A5: I use Docs to make guided notes; I pre-format projects using Slides, I set multiple attempts on Edpuzzles. I create my own questions for Edpuzzles. I also use videos and interactivities within lessons.
#rEDTECHguy A3: Google Classroom is a great tool for staying organized and streamlining communication. Announcements can be made, notes can be posted, and grades can be tracked all in one spot.
#rEDTECHguy A2: My students enjoy using Slides for in class projects. I use Slides for the daily agenda, too. I also use Classroom to post notes, Edpuzzles, and Kahoots.
#rEDTECHguy A1: I frequently use Edpuzzle to reinforce content. Chromebooks are used for SAVVAS Interactivities to further reinforce content. Chromebooks are used to play Kahoot to review for assessments.
#rEDTECHguy A11: To help students make connections between material and their lives I always try to give real life examples or ask students if or how they have encountered said topic in their lives.
#rEDTECHguy A10: I incorporate real-world scenarios through examples that are discussed aloud, written on paper, or shown visually throughout a lesson/unit.
#rEDTECHguy A8: When thinking about new projects and labs, I will ask students if it is something that they would enjoy working on. I gauge their response and take their suggestions into account.
#rEDTECHguy A6: I incorporate technology in the form of Edpuzzles, BrainPop, Kahoot, Interactives, Videos, etc. in order to supplement, enhance, and diversify lessons.
#rEDTECHguy A5: I assess student learning through informal Q&A. I also start each day with a daily review question. Assessment is also done through comprehension assignments, Edpuzzles, quizzes, etc. If students are struggling I will spend more time on the topic.
