My former coworker @DanPotashTV, one of the greatest people I've ever known, looked after Stan once he began battling health issues. Dan visited him frequently and would keep the rest of us at the office updated on Stan.

Stan was a great man and a great teammate and the Root Sports/AT&T SportsNet family suffered a major loss with his passing.

Less than a month later, we lost our studio director, Mat Williams....another wonderful person and teammate.

Same year, in September, we lost Jim Huber, who ran the traffic for us.

Then our station folded on Sunday, October 1st, 2023 after the Pirates/Marlins game. It was a brutal year for the AT&T SportsNet family.

As @ScottMccarron continues his battle with cancer, he went out today and shot 68 at the Principal Charity Classic, a tournament he's won before. Scott is a remarkable guy. He had chemo on Monday and then made 2 biridie & 2 eagles in today's first round. I marvel at Scott's resolve, focus, and strength while battling cancer. Please keep Scott in your prayers as you root for him this weekend on the course and every day off it.

I feel horrible for my once great state of California. It has been used as a piggy bank for those funneling tax payer money into their “projects,” without transparency.

They are prosecuting individuals for exposing fraud within the government and NPOs.

I have zero faith in the system as it hasn’t worked for decades, in fact it’s only gotten worse like our homeless population which is primarily a drug addiction/mental illness problem.

I’m typically a cup half full person, but when it comes to my state I only have faith it’ll keep failing and squeezing all of its citizens to death.
