Quite frankly, I’m backing the majority of these pitchers beside Spencer Arrighetti.
Arrighetti’s historic month of May included some of the most absurd luck I’ve seen.
* 3.2 HR/FB%
* 5.27 xFIP
* 4.2 K-BB%
* 5.32 SIERA
Not to say he isn’t a solid arm, just not quite an ace.
Aaron Judge isn’t even top 10 in fWAR in the AL at this point in the season.
My preseason MVP pick was Bobby Witt Jr., but I think this race will more importantly show how much voters truly value WAR.
Plenty of time, but I imagine there will be a new MVP in the AL this season.
JUST IN: Aaron Judge’s MVP odds are falling on Kalshi after news of a right shoulder injury.
With the field now wide open, which AL player can go win this award?
Ben Rice is playing out of his mind🔥
If he continues at this level an MVP is not out of the question.
Probably the only thing in his way would be teammate Aaron Judge 😂
Ben Rice still leads all of MLB in wRC+ (188), and only trails Witt Jr. & Yordan in fWAR. I have to imagine he’s going to get great consideration from voters if the leaderboards are in a similar place come end of season, which is possible.
The battle for AL MVP appears to be a 6-horse race, via Kalshi:
43% — Aaron Judge
20% — Bobby Witt Jr.
18% — Yordan Alvarez
10% — Nick Kurtz
9% — Ben Rice
4% — Nick Kurtz
Who’s going to pull away?
Cam Schlittler’s 37 ERA- is first amongst all AL starting pitchers 🔥
He’s -105 to win AL Cy Young @BetUS_Official 👀. Is he a lock to win the award?

I am fully of the opinion that the NL Central can be won by any of the 5 teams at this point. Trade deadline will do a lot to differentiate between these teams
After starting the season 29-16, the Cubs have lost 9 in a row.
The Cubs have only scored 24 runs during this span and are dogs again today.
Will the slump continue or will the Cubs get the W?
