Students in SP 484, Advanced Spanish Phonetics and Dialectology (Spring 2026), participated in a cultural activity Tuesday 14th April organized by Spanish PhD student and TA Cristina Gómez Sánchez.
Throughout the semester, students have collaborated with members of the Hispanic community at the University of Alabama, in Tuscaloosa, and across the world.

A peek into our upper-level courses: Dr. Moody's SP 489 Modern Argentina course recently made a visit to the Doster Hall food lab, where they learned about the history and regional differences of empanadas in Argentina and made their own ham and cheese and humita empanadas.
