Summer break calls for fun and smart habits.
☀️ Set daily “power down” times for screens.

☀️ Create a charging station to cut phantom energy.
Small changes = big savings!
Summer equals outdoor activities and the potential for severe weather. When outdoors, @NOAA reminds us, “see a flash, dash inside,” and “when thunder roars, go indoors.” When it’s safe, call your local MLEC office to report outages or downed lines.
Pool days are the best days ☀️ 💦, but water and electricity can turn dangerous fast ⚡. Keep speakers, lights, and cords far from the pool, use GFCI outlets, and never handle devices with wet hands. If cords or equipment are damaged, replace them right away to stay safe.
Follow these water heater tips to help save energy this summer:
👍 Do: lower the temperature of your water heater in the summer months.
