My Pint of Science talk on bayesian statistics and its role in early phase trial design is now available on YouTube!
It was an honour to represent @turinginst and @ICR_London at #pint24 last year. I hope itโs a useful resource for those interested.

Inspired to get creative with my poster for @ictmc2024 this week! I shared my work on bayesian generalised linear mixed models to optimise treatment dosage in early phase trials using Patient-reported Outcomes. #ICTMC2024#clinicaltrials
2/ I used a paper fastener to pin the poster and wheel together, but a pin should work if your poster is on a pin board (which wasnโt the case for me). Print it in A4 before printing it for the conference, have a back-up plan in case something goes wrong! I hope this helps ๐
1/ I used Microsoft PowerPoint to design my poster. I cut out a square in my main poster (image 1) and created a rotating disc in a second file (image 2). I marked the spot to pin the posters with a cross, then cut space on the right of the main poster to turn the wheel.
It was a pleasure to present two new dose-finding trial designs at #iscb45 in Greece this week. A great way to celebrate our newly published work!

๐กHave you ever considered introducing Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) to your statistical methodology project?
โ Perhaps you should!
In our new paper we share our experiences with PPIE as we develop new dose-finding trial designs.

@nilslidhjortuio Once the work is published, I will share the recording from the session and accompanying paper. In the meantime I have my Google Scholar link in my bio ๐ thank you for asking!
Delighted to present my review on the current landscape of Patient-Reported Outcomes in early phase dose-finding trials at @SCTorgโs Annual Meeting this week! #SCT2024

So proud to represent the @turinginst and @ICR_London at Pint of Science this week, talking all about Bayesian Statistics and early phase trials! YouTube link pending โณ #pint24
This week, PhD student, Emily Alger presented at a sold-out event at the @pintofscience festival. She discussed Bayesian statistics and how it is used in early phase dose-finding trials. @MLE_Alger
Last week PhD student Emily, @MLE_Alger, presented her work on incorporating Patient-reported Outcomes in early phase adaptive trial designs at the @CR_UK Research Dissemination Workshop 2024.
