Science Olympiad members Noah Urrutia and Jeffrey Zhang competing in the Boomilever event! This model, designed by George Panagos (not pictured - he was busy competing in the Codebusters event), was able to support a full bucket of sand AND an added metal chain before breaking!
Science Olympiad members Noah Urrutia and Korene Tu competing in the Ping-Pong Parachute event! This group (also including Jenna Stickley, who was competing in the Disease Detectives event at the time) designed the rocket and parachute to attain a trial hangtime of 8 seconds!
