The park will be closed November 28, 2024, in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday and will re-open on Friday November 29, 2024, at our regularly scheduled time, 9:00am - 5:00pm.
The park will close at 12:00 PM on Thursday, September 26, 2024, and will remain closed until Tropical Storm Helene passes and damage assessments are completed. Park operations will resume once it is deemed safe for visitation.

In partnership with The King Center, we are hosting the "Beloved Community Concert" at the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church, Heritage Sanctuary, on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at 4 p.m. This event will be live-streamed through our social media channels as well.

The Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park sincerely thanks those who promptly intervened and averted a potential tragedy at Dr. King’s Birth Home yesterday. Their quick action helped save this home that gave birth to a monumental legacy nearly a century ago.
