Shearing today, we did some of the ewes…..here’s Big Mel, her fleece was huge but as you can see she is still a big girl underneath all that wool! #BigMel#shearing#wool#farming#isleofman
Shearing today we decided to do our big girls, so after Big Mel we did Daisy. Fleece not quite as big as Mel but still a big girl underneath all the wool! She’s Suffolk/Loaghtan cross but the only hint of Loaghtan is brown back of her head & on her tail. #shearing#isleofman
@booberry73 Oh we do snuggle him but the razor sharp teeth biting everything are a little painful! He’s still a baby so a little while before he starts being trained seriously although will start walking through the sheep soon
@weiske_a Thank you, we are thrilled with Darren and Stephanie’s interpretation of a Manx Loaghtan. He will play an important part in helping this breed get off the RBST Red priority list
What a special day. We are so proud that his excellency the Governor & lady Lorimer came to unveil our statue of Magnus made by Darren & Stephanie Quayle, their talent will put Manx Loaghtans on the map. Thank you to everyone who came today. #manxloaghtan#artmatters#isleofman
