I hope you are paying close attention to your Dem colleagues. Not a single Democratic Senator has spoken out in your support. These are the very same Senators who routinely call on you to work across the aisle — to vote with them to pass their priorities or to use your vote to block Republican initiatives.
Please take note of that.
But many Republicans have done that for you including the VeePotus.
I suspect many Republican Senators would be willing to support a moderate Democrat like Senator Fetterman in his next race because they genuinely value an independent, centrist voice — even when he doesn’t vote with them. Yet elected Democrats do not seem to value your centrist approach. Instead, they appear to use it when it benefits them.
