Wanted to mention some new research the team at @_Leafwell_ has been working. Available in preprint now, we examined what happened to private health insurance premiums after states adopted medical cannabis laws. https://t.co/0cRj8ojiF5
We found states with medical cannabis laws had lower health insurance premiums compared to states without such laws from 2003-2022 using event-study DiD. Specifically, private employer-sponsored premiums for employee and employee plus one plans.
We asked patients about the severity of their condition before and starting medical cannabis. We found starting medical cannabis significantly improved patients conditions!
Excited to be presenting research looking the benefits of medical cannabis for patients with PTSD and Anxiety at the Cannabis Science Conference in September!
