The frustrating part is that we didn't even have to look far for the solution. We already had a player who knew the league, knew the BlueCo system and had proven he could perform at Strasbourg.

And now we're watching him flourish elsewhere..

Julio Enciso could've given Xabi another serious option across the attack, competing with Palmer and Rogers for the No.10 role while also being capable of playing as a 9 or 11. That versatility alone would've been valuable in this squad.

He never flopped at Strasbourg. Quite the opposite, he did enough to earn his way back into the conversation.

Yet instead of bringing him home, we let the opportunity pass. Now he's started his Ipswich return with an assist.
