@RobertDowneyJr this is the reaction of a longtime Iron Man fan hearing that you are returning to the MCU. You can say that he, and his mom, are a tad excited. π€£ #Ironman#ironmanreturns
NB LGBTQ+ kids are feeling scared as Sept looms. You can support them by supporting their school's GSA or by sponsoring a student to attend the PIE conference this Fall @PIE_GSA Let's show them our support! Need more info-let me know! https://t.co/wgJfmBzYpU...
@HattieMags@NicholasFerroni Wrong. In my prov, we need 2 degrees to teach .... min. (an undergrad & a teaching degree) The 3rd I did to grow professionally. I did a BA because you need teachables in different concentrations, mine being biology, history, French, and psych, to make my resume more competitive.
@HattieMags@NicholasFerroni BA (Arts and Science) 4 years, BEd (teacher's degree) 2 years, Master's in Curriculum 3 years. I teach high school biology and research. It's not overkill. I know many teachers who have master's degrees in exceptional learners, admin, sciences, and maths. We are professionals.
@HattieMags@NicholasFerroni I am a teacher and have three degrees that took me 9 years to complete. So.... maybe don't assume that a regular school teacher hasn't gone through a rigorous education that spans a decade and multiple internships....akin to other professions.
@NEcoWarrior @poitrasCBC Where is the data on this? Because enrollment is up. Read the article that Poitras posted. Quoted below:
"That means the total number of school-age children learning outside the public system has actually decreased from 4,163 to 3,526"
@LFarmakoulas@Gailey99 Just reread & realized that it wasn't at the district office but in St. George. Again, it wouldn't have mattered where it was held, they would have found it. I know the long history of E9 and the amount of work it took to get from there to a prov. Policy.
@LFarmakoulas@Gailey99 It doesn't matter where this meeting was held. Bigots, homophobes, & haters will find it. I know this first hand by being called a pervert & other slurs at the May pd session. In those cases, I'm sure you support peace officers being at attendance to remove people spewing hate.
@LFarmakoulas@Gailey99 Why shouldn't it be held at the district office? This shows a clear stance that these students are protected at school. Schools directly respond to the district office. I don't understand where would have been a more appropriate setting.
@LFarmakoulas@Gailey99 I don't understand the point of this? What kind of information? Grades? Attendance? Who their child speaks to? Who are their children's friends? What their children do every single day ? What teams they are involved in? What clubs they go to? Please clarify
@LFarmakoulas@Gailey99 Do you believe that by making that choice, you were lying to the parents ? Based on those experiences, do you believe all parents would be open, understanding, & accepting? Do you think all students who went through this new process would be safe when they went home at night?
@LFarmakoulas@Gailey99 (Final thought continued) ..... how many times did you ask the student who you should call because you knew that if you called xxx parent or guardian instead of yyy parent or guardian, you could have been putting that child in emotional or physical danger? How many times?
@LFarmakoulas@Gailey99 The reason why I am spending so much time trying to educate you is because I know you, your leadership style, and caring nature. I hope this has helped you understand. I want to leave you with one final thought. In your position of principal, and having to call home....
