@nelfundupdates You guys are doing your part when it comes to the upkeep, but the schools particular Ignatius Ajuru University of Education is not doing their part.
They are not paying most of the students (400 level), they will take the money and say they used it to pay extra year school fees.
@NELFUND It's not even showing in our portals that extra year fees was paid for us, they just lie and put the money in their pockets.
When it's time to pay this money back, I'll have a serious issue with Nelfund because I was never given any money from Ignatius Ajuru
@NELFUND You people should help call whoever is in charge in Ignatius Ajuru University of Education to release the funds of 2024/2025 batch, that they used in paying extra year school fees for people that didn't have extra year, rather graduated 2024.
@NELFUND I hope this money won't be refunded because when the time comes, most students of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education will have one common complain and protest when this Nelfund money will be removed from their accounts, which would be, they never received any refund from IAUE
@NELFUND Instead of refunding students that have made payment of school fees already, they will hoard the money and lie they used it to pay school fees for an extra year.
Is it everybody that will have an extra year?
And they don't make any payments like that, they just lie.
@NELFUND Nelfund is doing a great job, but you people should at least do a follow up to ensure that students are receiving the money, particularly when students have made school fees payments before the money was disbursed. IAUE is not being transparent.
@NELFUND Ignatius Ajuru University of Education is using the money to pay for extra year school fees for students that have already paid their school fees, instead of refunding them.
Because those funds being released are not getting to a lot of students shortlisted.
This is studentsβ money.
It was disbursed.
It was acknowledged.
It should be refunded.
Education policy must be implemented with transparency, accountability, and fairness.

Additionally, some students are yet to receive their 2023/2024 NELFUND disbursement.
This raises concerns about the implementation and reconciliation process across multiple academic sessions.
Why are 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 issues still unresolved?
Students have repeatedly visited the Studentsβ Account Office and Bursary, each visit comes with different excuses, no clear timeline, and no transparency.
Meanwhile, 2025/2026 NELFUND funds have already been disbursed, they've not paid last year I doubt if they'll pay this year.
The NELFUND funds were meant to cover school fees.
However, before the funds were released, many students had already paid their fees in full.
This means the school is supposed to refund students who had already paid.
Up till today β no reimbursement.
This is an urgent call for help regarding students of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.
Funds for the 2024/2025 session were disbursed by NELFUND(@NELFUND) between MayβAugust last year, yet students have NOT been reimbursed
