Jamie, are you seriously lecturing an entire community about “supremacism” and being “above the law”? It would be hilarious if the rhetoric weren’t so poisonous for Christs sake
You were convicted of possessing an extendable baton and later convicted over FOUR unnotified processions, convictions you unsuccessfully appealed.
Yet apparently Jamie has appointed himself NI’s very own Professor of Law and Order
Then we get the sermon about “hatred” from someone with an astonishing blind spot when the terrorism happens to be loyalist. You have defended the proposition that the UVF were not terrorists, characterised loyalist paramilitary violence as “counter terrorism”, and repeatedly attended a commemoration for UVF commander Robert “Squeak” Seymour.
I am sure the victims and families of UVF terroism would welcome knowing that the UVF were engaged in “counter terrorism” rather than terrorism
That’s quite the CV from which to deliver lectures on extremism.
And what exactly is this supposed “nationalist supremacism”? Nationalists having equal political power? Residents saying no? Unionism discovering that “we demand it” no longer automatically means “we get it”?
That’s not supremacy, Jamie. That’s equality
The giveaway is always the same, when unionism doesn’t get precisely what it wants, you portray compromise as surrender, equality as persecution and nationalism as some existential threat.
Perhaps the problem isn’t that “unionism must give and nationalism must get”.
Perhaps it’s that the old days when unionism could simply dictate and nationalism was expected to know its place are gone.
Nobody gets to dominate NI anymore.
And if equality feels like oppression, perhaps examine the sense of entitlement rather than screaming “supremacism” at everyone else.
A convicted lawbreaker with a remarkable penchant for sanitising the UVF preaching about the rule of law and nationalist “hatred” isn’t political analysis.
It’s self-parody.
I am a Jew from Ireland too, daughter of a German born holocaust survivor. And I'm ashamed that Ireland played Israel in the first place. Israel has fuck all to do with me and is a genocidal ethno-supremacist nation. Am in awe of Gavin Bazunu. His moral clarity and immense bravery in standing up for innocent lives, despite the immense pressure and isolation he faced, is phenomenal. 'Never again' means never again, anywhere, ever.
@ScotlandSky So to summarise VAR couldn't be sure so stuck with onfield decision to rule out a celtic goal. As opposed to Saturday night when VAR couldn't be sure but overruled the on field decision in order to rule out a celtic goal🤣🤣 you getting it yet?
@erlsellick A fella that looked sharp as fuck, shunted away from his natural position to make way for another man is utter stupidity and sums up the idiots in charge of our club.
Change the system.
Change the board.
Or preferably both.
@johnmadden2706@DanielHussey2 Would say it's higher than 30. Probably closer to 40/50 with extended panels, etc.
Co board officials get tickets also. And I would imagine county boards also get so many for their sponsors, etc.
Still doesnt cover the shortfall in your numbers above but does close the gap abit
@TEnglishSport@rossidyy They've had staff physically assaulted at ibrox on numerous occasions and it hasn't brought anywhere near the same attention that this has.
@EwenDCameron Oh please Ewen, you do realise when VAR screws your team over and you inevitably fall from the top of the league I do t want to hear you greeting
🗣️ Martin O’Neill has pushed back against accusations that key calls are going in Celtic’s favour.
O’Neill said: "That would be a big change from 20 years ago, let me tell you.
"If you want to go back to Easter Road, the Hibs player [Joe Newell] handled the ball and they got a goal from it. That was clear-cut and we didn’t get it. VAR decided it was fine.
"When we lost to Hibs [2-1 at Celtic Park in February], Liam Scales should have had a penalty and we didn’t get that either.
"People talk about the Alistair Johnston tackle against Rangers. I thought he was lucky. But then people think we should have had a penalty against Motherwell for Daizen Maeda being charged in the back.
"I hate to say this, and my paranoia is setting in, but it’s because it’s Celtic. That’s my view, but I will stick with it."
