On July 29, I'll start a new job with @CityGreenville! After 12 years in local television news, I'm looking forward to the next adventure. Thanks to everyone who followed my work here. I hope I did something that was meaningful to you at some point along the way.
Many of you drive this stretch of I-85 daily. The coroner called it a "death trap" after 3 people were killing in a crash on Thursday.
WYFF News 4 Investigates took at look at the data on deadly crashes in this area. Here's the breakdown: https://t.co/eGJmST0efh
Just had a great conversation with @huntpom15, co-founder of @theplayerstrunk, about @_jross8's merchandise deal...
"Our in-house designer did a great job staying up with us all throughout the night. You know, getting these designs pumped out."
@huntpom15@theplayerstrunk@_jross8 "I can't get into it too much, but I promise the the product line and the product offering is definitely going to expand. You'll see some cool new products and some cool designs... But I know Justin was super excited to just start with the the hoodies and the t-shirts."
From @SCAttyGenOffice - "@AGAlanWilson today certified that the NCAA’s action to allow student-athletes to profit off their name, image, and likeness conforms to South Carolina’s new NIL law, which means the law goes into effect now instead of next year."
Clemson was one of the first schools to partner with @opendorse years ago as we reported here: https://t.co/Zwpskqegpq
Here is what current offensive lineman @MattBockhorst's profile looks like on the site now...
@JasonCZacher @ethanlrivera Also not hopeful that most of the people writing the NCAA policies or state legislation aren't on TikTok or Instagram. They don't get the scope.
@JasonCZacher @ethanlrivera The Clemson athlete with the most followers was tight end Braden Galloway
But you're both right - this isn't about the number of followers. It's about engagement
A softball player with 10k engaged followers will be more valuable than a "football star" with 80k passive followers
@JasonCZacher Agree - though I think it comes down to how engaging an athlete is.
I follow college sports closer than most, and I've never heard of Haley and Hanna. They have a massive TikTok and Instagram following. I'm not their target audience, but that doesn't matter to Boost/Six Star.
