@Olamipo_1@lilifying I don’t even care, this is objectively good. Many people are ethically opposed to GenAI even if they have difficulty spotting it. These disclosures are good to test human want transparently. It lets the “let the market decide people” put their money where their mouth is.
@realSpyxFamily@RedShellSniper@kyokonice A lot pf the time they are if you’re buying new stuff not on sale. But it’s good if you shop smart. You can find plenty seasons <$30. I picked up Soul Eater on Blu-ray a few weeks ago for $26 and Outlaw Star on Blu-ray for $28.
But I still miss Rightstuf…
@RedShellSniper@kyokonice It was, but this is a new Blu-ray Sentai released back in December. The MSRP is $80 so this is actually a discount price. But Amazon and Walmart have it for $40, and Sentai regularly marks their stuff down low during their own sales too.
@MONOCOOMERV3@dawnofthediscs Yes. The blank slipcover still has all the info on it and you can see it’s region ABC. I think most if not all AnimEigo discs are region free.
@mexopolis Tech corps’ obvious end goal is to cut human production entirely. It is imperative artists from all strides of success hold the line and resist the corpospeak about “the future” and “it’s just assisting!” For someone of your stature to succumb to this is embarrassing and sad.
@3DLANDNUMBR1FAN@KittenByKitten What are you asking? HD-DVDs are a discontinued format that only lasted a few years while it competed with Blu-rays which are inferior to 4Ks. 4Ks have the higher resolution but also dolby vision/HDR. Of course you won’t notice much difference between the two without a good setup
@cassetteraised@VHSDVDBLURAY4K Long movies have always been split into two tapes or two discs to ensure proper media storage. The first tape ends at the intermission. You’re supposed to watch them both consecutively. Although nothing technically stops you from not putting in the second tape/disc immediately.
@Cranberryscause It’s MSRP so it’s a bit pricier but RACS has it listed as a preorder (more stock coming soon) for the 28th, so other retailers might be restocking soon as well.

@Faithinmyevil@Cranberryscause It’s not out of print. This set only released at the end of 2024. It’s temporarily out of stock because everyone rushed to get it after CR removed it. Viz has the Blu-ray rights and they do not let things go out of print that quickly.
@XavierGordon20 I’m still upset we don’t get those anymore. Funimation was unique at being the only publisher to do them with virtually every release. Now everything comes with no features. Just 4 barebones Blu-rays a month with the episodes and OP/ED. Such a fall from grace.
@al_Ontai@Prawcin I’ve read the VN and the anime is a fairly straightforward adaptation. The only major changes is a few non-essential story routes are removed and the ones that do appear do not end in romance so the story can linearly flow into After Story. It’s good! I recommend.
