This Image is Powerful. It is an Image of Consistency of Retail Investors. The Most Patient Capital which is Growing and hitting 30000 Crore a Month.

These Investments are Super Long Term for Various Goals. Some are for Kids Education, A Home, Car or could be for Society. Most Investors make it Auto Debit so that they can achieve their Goals.

Let us remember that these Investments are made after paying an Income Tax. STT is collected while buying. All possible taxations are done.

Putting a LTCG on this is absolutely not OK. The risk is borne by the investor who stays in ups and downs.

It is high time you Reconsider the LTCG on Equity & Make it ZERO.

I think it is time to Respect the Same Retail whom you Keep Praising.

India is likely to get $30-50 Bn of inflows through FCNR, ECB & gsec route

But if FII outflows in equity continues the inflows will get negated. ( they still own $750 Bn equity)

We must fix this. All the good reforms n polices getting offset. It’s also a sentiment spoiler.
