Today during OT collab MMS Rise learners investigated a pumpkin by measuring and weighing it. Then they scooped out the insides and carved it into a jack-o-lantern!🎃👻
#mineolaesy third annual lemonade stand was a hit! These learners LOVED making and “selling” freshly squeezed lemonade! Thank you to all those who stopped by our lemonade stand! 🍋
As part of our ocean unit #mineolaesy learners listened to the story Mister Seahorse and made seahorses using shaving cream! We of course had to play in it after for a fun sensory time!
So #MineolaProud of all of our @MineolaUFSD educators who achieved tenure this evening- especially our very own @Jackson_Ave who all exemplify what it means to pursue excellence, be a global citizen and a lifelong learner! Congrats!!🎉
Todays field trip to Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park was so much fun! These learners loved taking the train, playing on the playground and going to the beach! ☀️ #mineolaesy
We’re getting ready for our ice cream party! Today we read a book about ice cream and the importance of sharing and made our own puffy paint! It was such a fun (but messy) craft and the learners LOVED it! #mineolaesy
We had so much fun on Friday “selling” free lemonade during #mineolaesy! Now we can wait to use our tips for an ice cream party! I think this is going to become a yearly tradition!
#Mineolaproud of the work done by the staff at the summer program. The learners spent 6 weeks strengthening their academic and daily living skills and concluded with a sun drenched and fun BBQ. @CatherineFishm1@mabm520
Ice cream day for our last themed day of the summer! Today we read the book “Should I Share My Ice Cream?” and completed a sequencing activity based on the story! We had ice cream themed math centers and made ice cream puffy paint cones! Of course we ended with ice cream sundaes!
Beach themed math centers and popsicle stick crafts! During todays math centers, we worked on counting, number recognition, adding, and cooperative play in these beach themed math centers! We also made popsicle stick crafts by tearing paper and sorting colors! #mineolaesy
