Milei has managed to get Argentinas famous hyperinflation under control with inflation now around 2%. At the same time he’s managed to balance the books and return to surplus by cutting costs. It’s an incredible turnaround made possible by understanding monetary impacts on inflation.
Meanwhile the US and Australia are getting worse. I would love to see this sort of reform in both these countries.
Still needs to pass the Senate though and that’s currently 55-65%
Fair enough, but remember it’s a fake scenario. So not really fair looking at those numbers. The scenario is designed to convince you of one side.
Also, no one mentioned losing shelter.
Lastly, under a system where the market is allowed to do its thing the price of shelter will be optimally set so that the least amount of demand is wasted
Might be a tad harsh. But it’s an important point because people are forgetting the reality that it’s a market and the person on the other side also has complaints. Maybe the cost of maintaining the property has increased. Maybe taxes have increased. Maybe the risk and cost of the mortgage that the landlord has is no longer worth it
@ChuckRittling@dmweisberger Not really. Litecoin is one pure example.
ETH is original. Of course there would not have been any shitcoins had Bitcoin not been invented.
@Steen_Dr@bcg1976 There are practical difficulties with this. Plus if you buy a coffee for $5 surely that’s below a threshold but a threshold doesn’t exist. The industry proposed practical changes to make crypto taxation sensible and the ATO knocked them all back
