Jamiat launches New Membership App, sets target for 11,000 Local Units*
While launching the App, Jamiat president Maulana Mahmood Madani reaffirms commitment to Constitutional rights, rejects domination by any community*

New Delhi, February 11: Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind President, Maulana Mahmood Madani, today launched a new app-based membership system at the organization's headquarters in Madani Hall, New Delhi, to further enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness. The app, available on the Play Store under the name "JUH-Membership-Drive," has been introduced for the 2024-27 membership term to make the registration process more accessible, streamlined, and transparent.
An event marked the launch, also attended by Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind's General Secretary Maulana Muhammad Hakeemuddin Qasmi and Secretary Maulana Niaz Ahmed Farooqi, Advocate, among others.
Addressing the gathering, Maulana Mahmood Madani emphasized that a strong organizational structure is crucial for any community, whether in the majority or minority. He stated that the primary goal of an organization is not just to protect its identity but also to shape the future and implement its vision effectively. He reaffirmed Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind's renewed determination and commitment in the face of current challenges.
Maulana Madani highlighted that history has always favored well-organized communities that work systematically to achieve their objectives. He stressed that while challenges persist, wisdom, long-term planning, and relentless efforts can overcome any such.
Responding to a media query, Maulana Madani asserted that upholding the Indian Constitution and ensuring equal rights for all communities is the duty of every citizen. He categorically rejected any form of domination by a particular community, emphasizing that justice and equality are the true essence of democracy.
He further remarked that apprehensions and expectations are a natural part of life but should not deter people from their path. He reiterated that we have consciously chosen this country as our homeland—it is not a mistake or an accident. We expect equal treatment from both central and state governments, ensuring justice, equality, dignity, and protection of identity without promoting the superiority of any one community. We will not tolerate any violation of the Constitution, and its protection must be ensured at all costs," he added.
Maulana Madani emphasized that Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind is not just an organization of ulama but an inclusive platform for all segments of society. He acknowledged the need for greater expertise and professional skills in various fields and reiterated efforts to engage educated youth and professionals in the organization.
Explaining the new membership system, Maulana Madani stated that while the traditional method remains intact, modern technology has been integrated to enhance efficiency. The online system was introduced in the previous term as well but has now been further refined and improved.
Presenting data, he noted that in the last term, Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind had 6,800 local units, compared to only 1,700 units two decades ago. Membership has also seen a significant rise from 1.5 million to over 11 millions. For the current term, the organization aims to establish at least 11,000 active local units, with a focus on education, social welfare, and training initiatives, rather than merely increasing numbers.

Liberated Palestinian prisoner Othman Abu Khurj speaks about Israel's brutality, highlighting how Palestinian prisoners are subjected to attacks even in the final moments before their release, in front of the Red Cross, following 22 years of Israeli imprisonment.

A native of the village of Zababdeh in Jenin, occupied West Bank, he was arrested in 2003 and sentenced to life in prison plus an additional 20 years. His health severely deteriorated due to hepatitis, which he contracted after being deliberately given a contaminated injection by Israeli doctors in 2006.

In the second video, Othman says:

"No feeling, I don't feel anything... We only thank the resistance for releasing us. We hope for a speedy recovery for the wounded and ask for mercy for the martyrs of Gaza."

Jamiat strongly condemns #USPresident’s statement on #Gaza

New Delhi, February 6, 2025 – Maulana Mahmood Madani, President of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind, has strongly condemned the statement made by US President Donald Trump, in which he proposed the American occupation of Gaza and the forcible displacement of the Palestinian people. Maulana Madani described this proposal as not only absurd but also a direct violation of international law and human rights.

Maulana Madani emphasized that Gaza is not just a piece of land; it is home of millions of Palestinian people who have suffered for decades under occupation, aggression, and injustice. Any attempt to forcibly expel the Palestinian people from their homes would constitute a grave assault on human dignity and rights.

He further highlighted that nearly 50,000 innocent lives have already been lost in the recent Israeli brutal aggression, and any further unjust plans would only add insult to injury, further exacerbating the suffering of the Palestinian people. Maulana Madani expressed deep dismay that the US President, alongside a brutal Israeli leader, is endorsing such a draconian proposal from the White House. He stated that any leader with a conscience would be ashamed to support a plan so callous and inhumane.

Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind calls on the international community, especially the United Nations and influential global powers, to categorically reject this plan and take immediate, practical steps to ensure the restoration of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
