I empathize with the humanistic approach of Mizoram in handling immigrants from other countries, but when you are determined to accept illegal immigrants without performing the necessary due diligence, the host nation, in this case India, will always struggle to deal with the illegal immigrant. Anyone who keeps up with current affairs will be aware of the effects these illegal immigrants are having, and it appears that the people of Mizoram as a whole will soon feel the effects. I can see how Mizoram's approach to this problem will have some long-term implications-
Taxpayers will always be burdened by illegal immigration, with the biggest expenses being the education of their children, urgent medical attention, and incarceration for those who are imprisoned for crimes. Some illegal aliens receive welfare even though they are ineligible by using Aadhaar cards that falsely identify them as Indian citizens, much like they do when they apply for jobs.
Illegal immigration will also hurt legal residents in a number of ways, including by draining public finances and by putting an unneeded burden on programs intended to help Indians.

This situation is a ticking time bomb, and tension between the native population and the illegal immigrants will unavoidably arise shortly.
