🥊🤦♂️I am seriously a HUGE Tyson Fury fan, have been for a long long time. Going in to this fight, I thought Ngannou would be tough to beat. I watched a lot of his MMA fights and something about this dude was just... different. He had nothing to lose, he came from nothing, and he was calm and collected throughout the build up. He just looked dangerous!
Fury had a plan which just did not work. He needed Ngannou to come forward, but instead Ngannou would just wait and catch Fury on the counter again and again. Fury was out of ideas by the end of Round 2 in my opinion. After being knocked down, he was in survival mode and threw some crazy haymakers, some landed and Ngannou acted like he didn't even feel them. Fury couldn't KO this guy in 1000 years, Ngannou is too tough, and almost had Fury down again in the later rounds.
So, Fury was losing on points, couldn't get the KO, and in my opinion did NOT do enough to win on points. At the end of the fight, Fury looked defeated. No premature celebrations, no nothing. He even applauded Ngannou after the fight. Fury knew Ngannou deserved the win.
@Tyson_Fury then winning on points via a split decision is what is wrong with boxing. It is the reason so many people walk away from the sport. This is unfair, it is wrong, and it is BS. Fury did not win this fight, he knows it, the fans know it, Ngannou knows it, and those judges knew it.
I feel sorry for @francis_ngannou - you got robbed man. And this is coming from a huge Fury fan! Thank you for being so humble, you are an asset to this sport already.
This needs to stop happening in Boxing, it is ruining the sport.
