Today, I hosted a delegation from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry’s Directorate of Fisheries and Water Resources at the Ministry of Ports and Marine Transport.

We had a productive discussion on strengthening cooperation in vessel registration, port services, logistics, and other areas that will support the sustainable development of Somalia’s fisheries sector.

Our shared goal is clear: to unlock the full potential of Somalia’s marine resources, expand access to international markets, create jobs, and deliver lasting economic opportunities for our people.

Last night in Mogadishu, I had the pleasure of watching the FIFA World Cup final alongside hundreds of football fans. It was a wonderful evening that brought people together through our shared passion for the game.

Honoured to have graced the closing ceremony marking the successful conclusion of the Executive Leadership Programme for senior officials from Somalia's public service and private sector, delivered by the #Kenya School of Government @KSGKenya in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Works, Reconstruction and Housing of the Federal Government of Somalia.
