@unitedite Train journeys these days are a lottery Ian - and the prices are crazy. Be glad you aren't on Cross Country - I've not had many good journeys on their services over the years.
Recently, the club held a night to celebrate our wonderful volunteer team who have worked so hard over the course of the year.
This week is National Volunteer Week, where the country say thanks to all the volunteers who have given up so much of their time and effort…
The meeting to discuss and agree a preferred new structure for #HallamFC is on 11 June at 7pm in St Columba's Church on Manchester Rd, Crosspool. The meeting is open to all Hallam FC fans and the community. Be there if you can - it's a chance to help shape the future of the club.
Mike Tyson dropped pure wisdom on JRE:
“You don’t have discipline? You ain’t nobody. Nothing.”
Then he hit the killer line Cus D’Amato taught him:
“Discipline is doing what you hate to do, but do it like you love it.”
Joe Rogan nailed the follow-up: master that and you can succeed at anything.
I’ve got plenty of things I know I should do that I straight-up dread. The days I force myself to attack them with energy instead of dragging my feet? Those are the days momentum actually shows up.
Talent and motivation are everywhere. Discipline is what separates the ones who actually make it from the ones who stay “almost there.” In a world full of distractions and easy dopamine, this mindset feels like a cheat code most people never unlock.
What’s one thing you hate doing but know you need to do and how do you trick yourself into loving the process?

@Plattelandsman Players leaving as they have might suggest that success has come without sustainability, but let's agree to leave it there. Hopefully we can chat more f2f on the 11th.
@Plattelandsman You obviously know more than me so I'll leave you to debate that with others. Let's hope things improve soon. In the end, everyone wants a successful but sustainable Hallam.
It's 8AM, so let's get a new friendly on the 8th! ⏰
We travel locally to Handsworth FC on the 8th July in another pre-season friendly!
Two local derbies in a week! 🔥

@Plattelandsman The word also hints towards rebellion. I don't see that in them - I see frustrations. Abuse direct or passively is taking this too far. I do hope we can start forward together on June 11th.
@Plattelandsman I think that using the term 'volunteers' is slightly misleading. I am one of the volunteers. From what I see, the focus of frustration is with the committee - although I do recognise that they too are volunteers, albeit with significant influence and control.
