April 11, 1994, one of the deadliest days in Kicukiro.

Belgian UN peacekeepers withdrew from ETO Kicukiro, where over 2,000 Tutsi had sought refuge. Within hours, Interahamwe and soldiers attacked, turning a place of safety into a site of massacre.

Today, @AmDaniDayan , Chairman of @yadvashem , visited the Nyanza Genocide Memorial where more than 105,600 Tutsi were buried.

During his official visit to Rwanda, he laid a wreath and observed a moment of silence to honor the victims of the 1994 Genocide perpetrated against the Tutsi.
