The Year 6 Crew have had a fantastic day as historians at Glastonbury Rural Life Museum. We have been learning about what it was like to be evacuated, rationing and ‘digging for victory’.

A great start to the year for our Y6 Crew. They have enthusiastically taken on their role as Parliament Leaders. As scientists, we have been learning about the circulatory system; I’m so impressed with this work by Alicia and Molly!
A fantastic morning of Forest School activities for our Y6 Crew. We’re looking forward to lighting the fire this afternoon! Thank you to Mrs Prewett for organising today.
It’s been fantastic to hear all of the positive comments from the Year 6 Crew about their days at TKASA. Whilst they were away, they received their D-Day artwork back from the British Legion, along with a special badge!
As scientists, the Year 6 Crew have been investigating adaption and change in our locality by hunting for snails! We have been checking adult snails for banding and to see if they are Capaea nemoralis (brown lipped) or Capaea hortensis (white lipped).
This morning, the Year 6 Crew completed a traffic survey on Barton Road. This week, we will be writing letters to the Council about the planned funding cuts for the school crossing patrol. We will be including data from our surveys.
This morning, our Year 6 Crew had their first workshop with @young_somerset on managing emotions and preparing them for transition to secondary school.
SATs completed! Happy faces from our Y6 Crew. They’ve worked their socks off this week and we’re so proud of them.
We had some children missing yesterday so we wanted to get all of their smiley faces on display!
Just a small selection of the new books we are able to put into our library, thanks to family support at our recent Scholastic Book Fair. We are also very lucky to receive a copy of the new Shakespeare’s First Folio from the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust.
To celebrate World Book Day, we shared our favourite books in Parliament. Our Parliament Leaders then shared a story with our younger learners.

As archaeologists, we have been learning about Ancient Greece through artefacts such as pottery. We’ve had a fascinating day at @bristolmuseum. @BerrowPrimary@MissHuntBPCA
A lovely, sunny netball session at @_TKASA today. Well done to our team who came 4th out of 8. All new to the game and did the school proud.

What a team! Finishing with a bronze medal in the football tournament at TKASA today. A clean sheet from our GK and some cracking goals. ⚽️
